Why can I not hear any messenger sounds?
For some reason I cannot hear any sounds from instant messenger. I have tried to fix this and cannot. I contacted yahoo and got this:
To configure your alerts and sounds:
1. Click the "Messenger" menu in Messenger and select "Preferences."
2. Click the "Alerts & Sounds" category.
3. Select an alert from the list. You may configure any of the
following alerts and sounds in Messenger:
- A Messenger contact comes online
- A Messenger contact goes offline
- A Messenger contact buzzes me
- I receive an Instant Message or Text Message
- I receive a personals alert
- I receive a personals stock alert
- I receive email in Yahoo! Mail
- I receive a Yahoo! Calendar reminder
4. Enable the alert and sound options.
5. Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.
My sounds are already enabled so this did not solve my problem. I can hear everything else on my computer, even the radio. Does anyone know what might be wrong???
